"Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21:28
Despite a Catholic upbringing, when I was in high school I rejected Catholicism, and with it God and Jesus Christ. I became convinced that the existence of God was not provable, and that Christ was not divine.
I looked into other religions including Buddhism, Taoism, Zen, and Hinduism. Eventually I decided they were all either nonsense or not relevant, and embraced secular humanism.
My transition period started around the summer of 2000. Looking at world events, I began to notice that the worst places to live were those with few Christians (Asia, Africa) and the best places were those with the most Christian influence (North America, Europe).
The world seemed to be spiraling out of control. Attacks on America’s Christian heritage were becoming more and more common.
I came to realized that my core moral beliefs and ethics were Judeo-Christian.
My quest, shared by my wife, Laurie, began in 2001. I began reading the Left Behind series. Soon I was reading books on Christian apologetics and prophesy. These three were especially influential:
- “A Skeptic’s Search for God” by Ralph O. Muncaster,
- “Revelation Unveiled” by Tim Lahaye, and
- “The Fingerprint of God” by Hugh Ross.
Many others were also helpful. A more recent book that I highly recommend to anyone seeking the truth:
- “I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” by Norman L. Geisler, Frank Turek, and David Limbaugh.
After much reading, study, and careful thought, I came to several inescapable conclusions:
- Science proves there is a Creator;
- History, prophecy, and archeology prove He is the God of the Bible; and
- Bible prophecy and the historical record prove Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.

The day is not over yet in most parts of the world. One of the last places to see the end of this day is Apia, Samoa. The sun sets there at approximately 6:23pm on October 1 which is 1:30 am October 2 in the US Eastern time zone.
ReplyDeleteEven if turns out that we were wrong about the Rapture occurring during this Rosh HaShanah, we need to see if anything positive came from our experience. I am preparing a post on my website, www.watchfortheday.blogspot.com , that explores this issue. I should be posting it within the hour, God willing!
Stay strong in the Lord and keep looking up! His plans for us are still good and perfect!
I believe there is still much watching to do for 2008 Rapture....
ReplyDeleteWith false peace in Israel near,
Economy could bust, Atonement is possible as well as the Last Great Day. Keep you chin up!
He is near!
God Bless,

The 2008-2015 time line still fits.
Hey there Brothers in Christ. I Can't wait until Jesus Returns, but I ask you to rethink your theory on a pre-tribulation rapture. Jesus said, you will suffer many trials and tribulations. Remember what the Jews went through? We will not be any better or less of a chosen or hated people by the nations for his names sake. I believe he will return very soon, but we will see the Tribulation First. That's why we must take heart and be strong, encourage and uplift one another. So don't be discouraged when you see all the Prophesy fullfilled and our Lord has not returned yet, Because he will, just as Promised. I pray we all find the answers as we seek him.
ReplyDeleteMuch Love in Christ,
Amen
